The Grand Lodge of California offers both merit and study scholarships. The merit scholarships vary in amount from $500-$5,000; while the language grant study scholarship gives students the opportunity to study in Italy for a month. Must be graduating seniors to apply. Students in the area who are awarded our scholarship, attend our meeting to receive their scholarship from our lodge president.
Our lodge, lodges across the country and generous donors support these scholarships for deserving students of Italian descent.
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to high school students of Italian descent residing in County San Diego for study at the post-secondary level which includes four-year colleges, two-year colleges and accredited or state approved technical/trade schools in the Fall 2026. Scholarship award will be paid after confirmation of attendance at school.

- Official Transcripts: Submit one official transcript from each academic institution attended through Dec. 2024. Transcripts should include class rank, class size, and GPA if available.
- Resume: Submit a current resume outlining extracurricular activities, work experience, volunteer service and honors.
- Letters of Recommendation: Submit 2 letters of references (teachers, professors, or education administrators)
- Essay: Submit an original essay of 500-700 words describing what your Italian heritage means to you. Describe how your Italian background influenced you as you are becoming an adult
